Coming Out of Hibernation

I truly believe that some styles never fade, they just hibernate for a while and wait for the perfect time to come back out again.  This is the case with my new favorite belt!  It’s black leather with gold-tone key holes which are used for the toggle and twist closure attached to a draped-chain – adding the perfect detail; it’s super classy and chic!  My aunt, who is one of the stylish people I know, recently gave me this belt of hers after finding it in one of her drawers during spring cleaning.  She decided to package it up, along with 25 other belts she no longer wore, and send them to me overseas.  I know…super sweet!  Plus, I love getting packages, ha!  So among the 25 belts, I fell in love with this one.  Ironically, it was my aunt’s favorite as well…over 30 years ago!  Originally purchased in the late seventies, early eighties from my aunt thinks Express, this belt has now come out of style hibernation and landed on ad posters for BCBG!  Not to mention their 2011 Accessories Catalog!  Isn’t it amazing how certain fashion items come back around?!  This story made me realize that saving some of my favorite fashion items and accessories through the years, may not be a silly idea after all.  Who knows when it just may become popular again!
