Although I’m partial to the high heel and being taller, I must say I also adore the ballet flat. It’s my comfortable go-to shoe on the weekends, especially because they dress up an outfit much better than a pair of flip-flops. According to Nina Garcia’s book, “The One Hundred“, Bridget Bardot and Audrey Hepburn are the two beauties that made the ballet flat famous. Bridget Bardot, a ballet dancer before becoming an actress, requested a pair of comfortable flats be made for her during one of her dancing scenes. Audrey Hepburn wore the same type of flats in her dancing scene in Funny Face. So now, more than fifty years later, these cute little flats are still flying off the shelves.
NUMBER 5/100 – BALLET FLAT

As Nina says, “Every stylish girl knows that when the sun goes down, the heel goes up, and as gravity teaches, all things must come down. And the classic ballet flat will be waiting for you when it does.”

Love the quote! So true!
Another cute look! Love the earrings!!!!!!!
What a cute, comfy outfit. Ballet flats are also a stylish alternative to sneakers when commuting to work.
