Designer Spotlight-Allison Parris

Years ago I purchased this Allison Parris tulle mini skirt, or as I like to call it my Parris tutu!  What little girl doesn’t love dressing up in a tutu?  Well, I sure did and Allison Parris has made it so that even older girls can still dress up in tutus and tulle!  Her designs are so feminine and creative.  Famous for their beautiful dresses and of course tulle skirts, the Allison Parris New York fashion company utilizes organic silks and fabrics all made from recycled materials, while keeping a “feminine and sophisticated appeal”.  Even better, her factories are located within New York City, therefore, made in America!  Ironically, my Parris tutu has traveled all around the world with me, and now it’s finally back in the US.  For a while it sat in my drawer and even sometimes in my luggage waiting for the perfect time to come out and play.  Just like other items of clothing in our closets that sometimes sit and wait to be worn, my Parris tutu sat and patiently waited for its chance to shine, until today…
During the holiday season, I always find myself adding more jewels to my style, more sparkles and sequins into my ensemble and more confidence into my fashion choices.  After all, it’s the holiday season!  So finally, on Christmas Day, my Parris tutu came out to PLAY!  I guess I was just waiting for the perfect occasion.  I hope you all enjoyed your Christmas and are having a very happy, safe and healthy December 26th.   Next up…New Years!
