Watching wedding shows growing up I would always hear the name Stuart Weitzman. It became the regular go-to designer shoe for the most fortunate of brides. I didn’t walk into my first Stuart Weitzman shop, however, until I was in my late teens while shopping in the King of Prussia mall in Pennsylvania. This mall, literally the King of Malls on the East Coast, was only about 30 minutes from where I grew up in PA. My mom, sister and I loved to frequent the shops in this mall, especially around prom season…it had a plethora of dress shops to browse through. But back to Stuart Weitzman…I always thought I would maybe wear a pair of Stu Weitzman’s shoes when I walked down the aisle, but my tastes changed a bit and I wore a shoe more closer to my heart (story on that later). Regardless, I never purchased a pair of Stuart Weitzman shoes until this past year while living here in Malaysia (ironically) and shopping online. First of all, yellow is my favorite color (so cheery and happy) and these heels remind me of a mermaid’s long silvery tail with their unique scale-like details drawn all along the shoe. The beautiful and dainty heels probably weren’t even designed to look anything like a mermaid’s fin (actually I recently found out they are “python print”), but in my mind, I imagine them to be like a mermaid.
In these pictures below, I continued along with yesterday’s post and reenacted a familiar scene from the movie, Seven Year Itch, with Marilyn Monroe. Although the dress is not white and there was little if any steam/air coming out of this grate along the street, I went with it and enjoyed a little cool breeze on a humid day in Kuala Lumpur.
