Weekend Wellies

This weekend I lived in my rain boots, or wellies as I like to call them.  The weather in Hong Kong, unfortunately, didn’t cooperate with our Easter weekend plans and instead of bringing out my spring dress and Easter jacket, I was forced to wear jeans, a hat, my rain coat and rain boots!  Oh well, I have to say it was fun splashing around and playing in the puddles!  I hope you had a wonderful Easter weekend and Happy Monday…April Fools Day!  Don’t forget to trick someone…I tried with my hubby, but he caught me!

Spotted-Pencil Skirt

Ah, the pencil skirt…slipping one on adds the feeling of instant femininity and class to an everyday and conservative WORK style.  Some of my favorite pencil skirts have been purchased at ZARA, but I also love J. CREW, Nordstrom, ASOS and Express for some beautiful, quality skirts.  My pencil skirts aren’t only brought out for the office, however.  I love pairing a pencil skirt with a silk blouse for date night or even with a slouchy sweater or cute t-shirt for a dressy brunch with the girls.  A good pencil skirt is a favorite in my closet and therefore, number 65 of MY ONE HUNDRED.
With Easter this weekend and pastel colors on my mind, today I paired my blue pencil skirt with some other blues in my closet and one of my favorite things to do is wear a scarf as a belt.  This pastel colored scarf felt perfect for this Spring season!  Add some nude colored accessories and you’re ready to go…oh, and since we stopped at our neighborhood Chinese temple for these shots, I had to bring out my blue chopsticks to keep up my hair with this recent humidity, ha!  Happy Friday and have a wonderful Easter weekend!

NUMBER 65/100 – PENCIL SKIRT

Designer Spotlight-Annie and Alex and a GIVEAWAY!

Happy Wednesday!  For this week’s Designer Spotlight post I’m highlighting a shop located RIGHT HERE in Hong Kong called Annie and Alex.  This shop was started by two lovely women (ALEX originally from Australia and ANNIE from the UK) as a way to bring beautiful handmade and hand sewn accessories from Indonesia to Hong Kong.  Not to be confused with Alex and Ani famous for their beautiful initial bracelets, spotlighted here, these two women are famous for their geniuine python snakeskin cuff bracelets and clutches.  Today, I have collaborated with Annie and Alex to style TWO of their beautiful cuffs in cobalt and cerise.  Not only am I styling these cuffs, but Wrinkled Chiffon and Annie and Alex are teaming up to offer one of these genuine python snakeskin cuffs (a US $50 value) to one lucky follower in today’s giveaway!  What a perfect way to celebrate the Year of the SNAKE!
