Spotted-Leather Jacket

Wow, I made it to 50!  Time sure does fly!  Today marks number 50 of MY ONE HUNDRED and I’m excited to share a classic and casual look that I love…denim and leather!  Every wardrobe needs, deserves, must have a good leather jacket.  I’ve already styled this particular leather jacket here, here and layered here (along with having fun on vacation here), but today I wore it with some skinnies out on a lunch date with my hubby.  Not only is a leather jacket an essential wardrobe item, but it keeps you nice and toasty in the cooler months ahead.  When purchasing any piece of leather, especially a leather jacket, make sure you invest in quality leather to ensure your favorite leather pieces last you many years to come.  It’s definitely worth the investment!  Not only can you style a leather jacket with denim and silk, as I did in today’s DAY style, but try pairing your leather jacket with a sequined mini for a night out with the girls or tartan plaid and pearls for a holiday party.  Leather jackets…so versatile and fun!

Designer Spotlight-Burberry

Which Burberry girl are you?  This was a title of an email I received about a year ago from Net-a-Porter and I love the way they broke down the four stylish lines that currently ARE Burberry.  A British luxury fashion house founded in 1856, Burberry is known for its distinctive tartan pattern that has become one of the most widely copied trademarks in fashion!  Burberry’s most iconic symbol, however, is the trench coat, created by Burberry’s founder Thomas Burberry.  I do not own a Burberry trench coat, but I do have some Burberry incorporated into my style, as you can see from this post and this post, (and also recommendations of Burberry through my Top 25).  I am still deciding which Burberry girl I am, however, but any kind of Burberry girl would be fine by me.  Let’s start with Burberry Prorsum…
Known for “making an impression”, Burberry Prorsum has elevated the iconic British label to new “sartorial heights”.  Since its arrival at Burberry in 2001, Burberry Prorsum is the fashion pack’s go-to for luxurious outerwear, exquisite fabrics and feminine dresses.  This line of Burberry is what you see on the runway!
Second on the list is Burberry London.  This iconic line is the label’s innovative arm responsible for business wear and heritage outerwear.
Third, Burberry Brit, known for the “weekend look”, this line of Burberry is a relaxed and youthful take on the label’s “iconic aesthetic”, and the most affordable of the Burberry brand.
And last but not least is Burberry Sport, which includes all Burberry sports wear from skiing to whatever your heart desires.
No matter the Burberry brand, each look represents an epitome of sophistication and British heritage design.  So what kind of Burberry girl/boy are you?

E-kay-ah

Pronounced E-kay-ah in Asia, the local IKEA is definitely one place you don’t want to visit on the weekends.  Don’t get me wrong, IKEA is every bit as fabulous as it is anywhere else around the world, but in Hong Kong it’s not the low prices, but the crowds of people that are killer.  Me, I’m very bad in crowds…so going to IKEA on a Saturday afternoon is very difficult.  However, I breathe deeply, smile and try to “Keep Calm and Carry On” through the massive amount of people.  Although the crowds can get a bit overwhelming, IKEA is definitely a fun place to browse for household items and to be honest, it ended up being a great place for people watching…

This is exactly how I feel about Ikea buddy!

And finally…the crowds…

This is just going through one of the small aisles!  Good times!

Happy Tuesday!
