Dragon spotting and soup slurping

Happy Tuesday!  This past weekend we did some more exploring around Hong Kong Island, tasted some new foods and prepared for an upcoming project.  Here’s a bit of our weekend in pictures.

Like a bull in a china shop, we work to maneuver our way through the tiny aisles in our local hardware store.

Witnessing our first Hong Kong street protest.  It was so well organized!

Spotting a dragon shaped water faucet while passing by some bathroom shops.  It is the year of the dragon!

I hope you had a great weekend.  Stay tuned for my Wednesday Designer Spotlight post tomorrow.

End of Summer Brights

This past Saturday, September 22nd, was the first day of fall and my favorite season!  Unfortunately, while living in Malaysia for the past two years, I haven’t been able to experience TRUE fall – the changing of the leaves, eating candy apples, picking a pumpkin, or even trick-or-treating.  I’m hoping while in Hong Kong, the weather will cooperate a bit more and at least drop to a respectful cool-weather temperature…anything has to be better than the tropics of Kuala Lumpur!  So I wait and wear my summer brights, but remain positive for cooler months ahead and hope it’s the last time I bring this style out this year.  Happy Monday and Happy Autumn!

Spotted-Interview Suit

Number 44 of My One Hundred list is today’s WORK style, Interview Suit.  No matter what walks of life we may have chosen, at some point or another, an interview suit is a wardrobe essential.  My favorite and go-to suit is this pinstriped, black, pant suit.  It says I’m professional and classic.  Adding some of my favorite jewelry and accessories to this look adds a touch of my own personal style, also making me feel more feminine in a pant suit.  Be careful not to wear too much jewelry when going to an interview, however.  You don’t want anything to distract your interviewer from your brains and incredible talent!  Slip on your interview suit, be confident in yourself and go get ’em!
