Designer Spotlight-Anne Klein

Wearing this skirt makes me feel so dressy and classic!  Each and every time I wear it to work, I receive compliments…maybe it’s the color, or its flowy detail, who knows…but I just love this skirt by Anne Klein – today’s weekly Designer Spotlight.  Anne Klein’s vision “heralded mixing separates” which is exactly what I did today by pairing her skirt with a basic blouse and colored blazer.  The skirt is actually part of a full Anne Klein skirt suit that I found in an outlet years ago when I was first began working.  Anne Klein has made a strong impact on American women, especially the working woman, and has even been noted as putting sportswear on the map!  The Anne Klein label was established in 1968 and at a time when women were entering the workforce at a tremendous speed, her concept of wardrobing, using menswear fabrics and combining separates into unique style combinations empowered women to not only look beautiful, but feel comfortable as well.  Although the woman behind the label passed away a few years ago, her legend carries on.  Today, you can find her clothing online or in your local department stores.  Thank goodness for Anne Klein…such a classic and fabulous designer!

It was an Itsy Bitsy Teenie Weenie

…Yellow Polka Dot Bikini!  That song always seems to pop in my head while searching for the perfect summer swimsuit.  As it’s summer here in Malaysia all year round, we luckily don’t have to run out to the malls to pick out that suit before all the good ones are scooped up.  But in case you are searching for your summer swimsuit, here’s some unique ones I found while searching online today.

And another unique one that I found today while unpacking…a gag gift from one of my girlfriends.  It’s made entirely out of candy, ha!

Ushering in Blue Skies

Happy Monday!  I hope you had a nice weekend and your weather was sunny.  Here in KL, the clouds were heavy and it was a bit gloomy and gray.  So I pulled out my brightest blue blouse and shorts for today’s PLAY style in hopes to usher in the blue skies for the week ahead.
